Summary: This section outlines various reasons why you might not be receiving staking rewards in the Cere network and provides guidance on how to address these issues.
If you are not receiving staking rewards on your Cere account, it could be due to the following reasons:
The staking reward distribution is not automatic and needs to be triggered through a transaction. If the validators do not trigger the payout, you can claim the rewards manually.
If none of the validators you nominated are in the active set for an era, you won't earn rewards for that era. To maximize rewards, consider nominating multiple validators.
If you nominate a validator that takes 100% commission, you will not receive any rewards when your nomination is applied to that validator.
Only the top 512 nominators of a validator receive rewards. If your stake doesn't place you in the top 512, you won't earn rewards. Regularly check that your chosen validators are not oversubscribed.
With the bags-list implementation, the minimum stake threshold to earn rewards can change with each era. If you nominate with an amount that doesn't place you in the top 22,500 nominators, you may not earn rewards. The entry barrier is determined dynamically.
The nominator intentions serve as a waitlist for the electing subset (22,500), which receives rewards in each era. Having more nominator intentions than the electing subset allows for flexibility in the system.
Important: If you are above the dynamic minimum and still not receiving rewards, you may need to reposition your account in your bag. Refer to this support article linked above for more details.
By understanding these factors and taking appropriate actions, you can ensure that you receive the staking rewards you are entitled to in the Cere network.
