Web3 Video Streaming

The Cere Web3 Video Streaming use case refers to the use of Cere Blockchain, a decentralized, peer-to-peer (P2P) network, along with DDC and a load of other amazing open source technologies to stream video content over the internet from a broad network of participating Validator, Storage and CDN nodes. This is in contrast to traditional video streaming platforms, which typically use centralized servers to distribute content. A black box, of sorts.

Multiple consumers are able to unlock a video stream via an NFT in their wallet and stream the same video from different locations in the world without buffering. Content is always delivered from the closest node available. NFT gated access from your Wallet gets users true ownership of their video assets, which is resistant to censorship or manipulation from adversaries.

App developers can subscribe to storage and CDN clusters, upload their video to a cluster and integrate a CDN stream into their video player in the browser with a universal URL independent of the CDN node location. The App developer can optionally mint an NFT and attach the video stream to the NFT so that only NFT owners can view the streaming content.

Web3 Video Player

The Cere video player solution provides trustless and censorship-resistant delivery of video content, at scale. Decentralized video streaming avoids vendor lock-in and censorship. It’s built with a combination of modular components from Cere. dCDN, DDC, Blockchain, Freeport and Wallet
